 HEALTH AND LIFE

 By Sarah Norma

God almighty in His majestic Glory created us in His image [Gen 1 :27], without any infirmity or disease [Psalms 139:14] He planned a means for us to live healthy by providing us with The Eden, filled with food and fruit of every kind. However, when man sinned against God, we deprived ourselves of that free gift and since then, we have had to work in order to attain  good health.

For one to be considered healthy, there should be physical, mental, social and spiritual well being in addition to the absence of disease. Any imbalance in these factors will result in the disruption of one's health The body, mind and spirit work together.Should the body be dissatisfied, pain and disease will develop and the mind will be stressed and the spirit not at peace. Unless that defect is corrected, this condition will persist.

Likewise, as Christians,we are part of the body of Christ [1 Corinthians 12:12]. Any thing we do that does not meet the standards of our spiritual health (The ten commandments), will cause a spiritual sickness which will manifest itself in the problem you will get. When we correct that spiritual defect, Christ Jesus will be happy with us and restore our spiritual health by giving us what we need and what we ask from him [John 14:14-15].

In one way or another, our state of mind, body and spirit will determine our health status, for our thoughts are voiced through the words we speak and interpreted by the course of action we take. Everything the mind perceives, the body will act on it, which will in turn build or break your life and health in the long run.The choice on whether you will decide to live healthy, is for you to make. However, remember to live knowing that you are God's dwelling place [1 Corinthians 6:19]

Food for thought:

When life pushes you against the wall, do not frown at it! Hold your head high and smile through your rain. Look for the positive things in every negative situation, for that will push  you towards your good health. [Proverbs 15:30]
